CDs (Certificates of Deposit)
A certificate of deposit, or CD, is a time deposit similar to savings account in that they are insured and virtually risk free. It has a fixed interest rate and date of withdrawal. Southwind Bank offers CDs with competitive interest rates and terms from 6 months to 5 years. Your CD can even be used as collateral on a loan.

Rates will be determined according to account balance:
- Tier 1: $1,000 up to $9,999
- Tier 2: $10,000 up to $49,999
- Tier 3: $50,000 up to $99,999
- Tier 4: $100,000 up to $249,999
- Tier 5: $250,000 and greater
(Tiering is not available for public funds.)

A minimum balance of $1,000.00 is required in the account each day to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield.
Fees & Transaction Limitations
A $10.00 maintenance fee will apply every statement cycle if the balance in the account falls below $1,000.00 any day of the cycle; withdrawals or transfers are limited to 6 per month.
A $10.00 per item fee will apply for every item exceeding the 6 withdrawals per month limitation; excessive withdrawals subject the account to an account type change or closure.
