Southwind Bank has continued to closely monitor the current events surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Throughout this process, the bank has been following both CDC and KDHE guidelines in order to protect our communities, customers and staff members from this virus as much as possible. As such, we have increased our sanitization procedures in the bank and have encouraged customers to use other avenues to perform their banking needs as much as possible.
As this situation has evolved, so must our response. In following the ever-increasing social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, Southwind Bank lobbies will be available by appointment only effective Monday, March 23, 2020. We emphasize that ALL bank services will still be available in some capacity.
To be clear, under no circumstances will Southwind Bank operations cease function, nor will customers be prevented from utilizing any of the services currently provided. The drive-thru service in both locations remains available and will be assigned additional staff to better accommodate the increased traffic. Additionally, services that were previously performed in the lobby, may now be available in the drive thru or as otherwise arranged. Customers may call ahead to help facilitate their drive-thru transactions if needed. For customers at increased risk for illness, transactions can be arranged via courier service. Online banking and bill pay services remain available.
Southwind Bank is committed to protecting our communities and our staff in this difficult time. We feel this is a necessary step to limit face-to-face interaction when possible, while still providing the high level of service that we pride ourselves on. We will continue to monitor this situation, and will resume regular lobby hours as soon as public health officials indicate that it is safe to do so.
